We are seeking professional, reliable, and flexible scenario actors to support one-day law enforcement and private-security training programs. Actors will portray realistic characters during controlled training scenarios that help officers, security personnel, investigators, and protective-services professionals practice communication, situational awareness, de-escalation, and decision-making skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for actors, improvisational performers, educators, or anyone comfortable portraying a range of roles in dynamic situations. No law-enforcement background is required; training and safety briefings will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Portray assigned characters with realism and consistency (e.g., bystander, suspect, witness, victim, customer, employee, distressed individual, etc.)
- Follow scenario scripts and instructor direction while maintaining the ability to improvise within guidelines
- Demonstrate appropriate non-verbal behaviors, emotional reactions, and physical cues as instructed
- Participate in live training evolutions, force-on-force scenarios (non-contact or simulated equipment), or interview-and-interrogation exercises depending on assignment
- Maintain professional conduct, punctuality, and reliability throughout the session
- Assist instructors with resets between scenarios as needed
- Participate in pre-brief and debrief discussions
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the handling of any simulation equipment or props
Requirements
- Strong acting, improvisation, or role-playing ability
- Comfortable performing in high-energy, realistic training scenarios
- Ability to follow direction while staying in character
- Professionalism, reliability, and clear communication
- Willingness to portray a wide range of behaviors (e.g., cooperative, resistant, emotional, calm, confused, etc.)
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage in light physical movement for several hours
- Must be 18 or older
- Prior experience in scenario-based training, security, or law enforcement is a plus but not required
