Physical Penetration Tester / Red Team

We are seeking highly capable Physical Penetration Testers / Red Team Members to conduct authorized, real-world security testing of physical environments, facilities, and personnel. This role simulates adversarial behavior to identify weaknesses in physical security, procedural controls, and human factors before they can be exploited by malicious actors.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct authorized physical penetration tests against commercial, government, educational, and critical-infrastructure facilities.

Evaluate perimeter security, access-control systems, locks, alarms, CCTV, lighting, and security procedures.

Perform covert and overt entry techniques, including tailgating, pretexting, badge testing, and access-control bypass methods (within approved scope).

Execute red-team scenarios involving insider threat simulation, social engineering, and adversary emulation.

Test guard force effectiveness, patrol patterns, response times, and escalation procedures.

Identify vulnerabilities related to human behavior, policies, training gaps, and operational discipline.

Maintain strict operational security (OPSEC) during engagements to protect client confidentiality and test integrity.

Document findings with clear, professional reporting, including timelines, photographs, risk impact, and remediation recommendations.

Participate in post-engagement briefings with clients, explaining findings to technical, operational, and executive audiences.

Support integrated engagements involving cyber, electronic, and physical testing teams when applicable.

Assist in developing and refining red-team methodologies, checklists, and training standards.
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum five years experience in physical security, red-team operations, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or protective services.

Strong understanding of physical security principles, access control, surveillance systems, and facility security design.

Demonstrated experience with authorized physical intrusion testing or adversarial simulations.

High level of situational awareness, professionalism, and sound judgment under stress.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional report writing.

Ability to work independently and as part of a coordinated red-team unit.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including evenings and weekends when required.

Clean background check and ability to pass client-required vetting.
Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as:

CPSP (Certified Protection Security Professional)

PSP (Physical Security Professional)

Red Team or adversary-simulation certifications

Experience with social engineering, surveillance detection, or counter-surveillance.

Familiarity with electronic security systems (CCTV, alarms, card access, intrusion detection).

Prior experience conducting combined physical-cyber or insider-threat assessments.

Training background in security operations, threat assessment, or protective intelligence.
