Brian Koffler

Founder & President

Brian G. Koffler is the founder and President of KLC Security Concepts and KLC Security Training Academy, multidisciplinary security consulting, investigations, and training firms providing physical security, cybersecurity, executive protection, digital forensics, technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM), and security technology consulting services throughout the United States. With more than a decade of experience leading a licensed security agency, Brian has developed and managed security programs for corporate, government, educational, and law enforcement clients.

His unique background spans nearly every major discipline of the security profession. Brian is licensed in New York as an armed security guard, a security and fire alarm installer, and a locksmith, giving him practical expertise in physical security operations, electronic security systems, and mechanical security. This broad foundation allows him to evaluate security challenges from the perspectives of people, technology, and infrastructure.

Brian has an extensive background in cybersecurity, digital investigations, and information security. He holds industry-recognized certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), with experience in cyber investigations, digital evidence, penetration testing, and security assessments. He also earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Information Management Systems from Harvard University, where he focused on information systems, cybersecurity, and technology management.

In the tactical training arena, Brian is a certified NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor in Handgun, Shotgun, and Patrol Rifle disciplines. He is also certified by ASP to instruct Handcuffing, Tactical Flashlight, and Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) programs, and has developed and delivered training for law enforcement agencies, private security organizations, educational institutions, and corporate clients in subjects ranging from tactical operations and crime prevention to cybersecurity, access control, digital forensics, and emerging security technologies.

Before entering the security profession full-time, Brian began his career as an attorney. His legal background continues to shape his approach to investigations, regulatory compliance, risk management, and security program development, allowing him to bridge the gap between legal, operational, and technical considerations.

Today, Brian's work focuses on integrating physical security, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and modern security technologies into comprehensive risk management strategies. His philosophy is that effective security requires understanding not only people and procedures, but also the technologies that protect—and increasingly threaten—modern organizations.
